Ashley regularly advises and appears for companies, government, individuals and community groups across administrative, commercial and property law. This frequently includes matters concerning environmental and planning law, contractual disputes, compulsory acquisition, land valuation, property disputes, State revenue law, environmental products law (trading carbon, renewable energy, water and biodiversity) and health practitioner regulation.

He has written and presented widely on environmental markets law, in Australia and internationally.

Ashley was a Senior Associate with law firms Mallesons Stephen Jaques and Baker & McKenzie before being called to the Bar.
