Michael has a diverse practice comprising commercial litigation and advice, public law litigation, and regulatory, white collar and corporate criminal investigations and proceedings. He has appeared in various courts in New South Wales, including the Local Court, District Court, Supreme Court, and the Federal Court.

Michael commenced his litigation practice with Blake Dawson (now Ashurst Australia) in their Sydney Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team practising in regulatory enforcement, anti-corruption and bribery, economic sanctions, fraud, general commercial litigation and environmental law. Prior to being called to the Bar, Michael was a Senior Federal Prosecutor at the Office of the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions where he specialised in the prosecution of white collar and corporate crime, including: corporations law offences, criminal cartels, taxation offences and frauds. Michael previously worked as the Associate to the Hon. Justice Brigitte Markovic of the Federal Court of Australia.
